Ok- you have found this website which means you have been thinking for a while:
“ I must start losing some of my post pregnancy weight” or
“ I cant stand the way my stomach hangs over my jeans anymore” or
“ Help! I'm sick of the way I look since having my baby!”or
“I need to know how to lose after pregnancy weight“
Some women are lucky, the weight just drops off ... losing weight after pregnancy just happens for them!
This was not the case at all for me. I needed help and inspiration. I needed a diet plan for after pregnancy weight loss.
You are surfing the net looking for some inspiration right now because you need some guidance too. How to lose weight after giving birth, some motivation to starting your diet after pregnancy…..
STOP right here…. don't go anywhere else because I want to share with you my personal experience on losing weight after having a baby.
After my third baby was born, I looked pregnant for months afterwards! I carried a lot of extra pounds that needed to GO. I needed to lose weight after pregnancy but looking on-line was overwhelming. There are too many diets and healthy eating plans which claim to show you how to lose after pregnancy weight….. Thing is as a busy mother with limited time you need to decide on one plan of attack and then go for it…..That's exactly what I did ...

My baby was 6 months old, I had at least 2 stone to lose to be able to fit into my pre baby clothes –and I had a lot of clothes !!!
I had had enough of the comments, the belly fat after pregnancy, and most importantly I had enough of the way I felt ... and that's the key:
YOU HAVE GOT TO FEEL READY TO START THE POST BABY WEIGHT LOSS
Day 1 of losing baby weight after pregnancy
Start telling people, your husband/partner, good friends your intentions:
They can encourage and support you
Understand if you may be a little irritable (if you are having a difficult day!!!) but once you get going you are going to feel great!
This will also mean, once you start talking about something you have got to do it!
Tell yourself out loud when you are going to start.
I woke up one morning in April and said “today I'm going to start my after pregnancy weight loss”
Realise that you can be your own best friend or worst enemy in this…..
If you are mentally ready YOU CAN DO IT….. Tell yourself I can lose this baby weight every day…… I DID.
As soon as I started to lose baby weight and the lbs started coming off I felt so much better about myself…. and I had more energy!
The hardest part is starting.
It took me 8 weeks of real determination to lose the bulk of my weight and then I went back to just healthy eating (with the odd treat!) and regular exercise.
Also having started exercising again, I realised the benefits weren't just fighting the mummy tummy, but I felt so much better and it was a break from looking after baby!
Set yourself some “target jeans” . This helped me so much…. every week I would try them on and the closer I got to them fitting again- the more motivated I was to keep on going.
REMEMBER – it can take up to 6 months after having a baby for your body to recover after birth so go easy on yourself
NEVER compare yourself to other mums… we all have different metabolism levels…. just focus on yourself. Keep telling yourself you can do this and you will.
As I have said before…. FIND TIME FOR YOURSELF – this is crucial – too many mums forget themselves…. yes, it is busy and demanding with babies/ children and everything else but if you want time for yourself you will get it….. AND IT WILL DO YOU GOOD.
Don't think this as a chore- remember this is something you want to do- once you start losing the baby weight you will start to enjoy it!

Hello fellow mums….
There comes a time after having a baby when you naturally start to think about “you” again! It depends on every woman, every women is different. Some women straight from leaving hospital are already thinking about getting rid of the maternity clothes as soon as they can and getting back into those jeans!! Others are just too tired/hormonal to even think about their bodies, how they look, how much weight they need to lose…. they can't think of anything else apart from the baby right now. Let's face it, it's pretty overwhelming…but believe me that time will come when you think its time I lost the pregnancy belly or I'm sick of still looking pregnant, or I need a new wardrobe as I will never fit into my pre-baby clothes again??
After my baby It took me 6 months to feel ready to lose the weight, and its probably about now for you, hence finding you here. OK, so no doubt you don't have much time, and there are a million jobs to do, the housework, supermarket run, the never ending washing and if this is your 2nd or 3rd child possibly the school or nursery run to fit in too!
Now listen here, this is important, and I know, because I have been there…… make sure, every day you make time for yourself, whether it be to sit and have a cup of tea and do nothing, or grab a nap while the baby sleeps, have a bath….. just do 1 thing a day for yourself. It does not matter how small just get into the momentum of thinking after yourself again. Treat yourself, indulge in some “me time” and you will instantly start feeling better. I know how easy it is for frazzled mums to put themselves last, as I've said there is so much to do , the sleepless nights are hard, early starts mean we may feel irritable all day….. the list goes on!
As a mother of 3 I want to share my experience of weight loss and how to start feeling you again. The better you feel about yourself, the happier you are as a mummy and a wife/ partner. In my next blog I will reveal something that makes a lot of sense….. that will help you how to lose after pregnancy weight . Once you start making a little time for yourself and then the weight starts going…. you will feel like a new woman.

Welcome to my site which I have created to share my story of how I lost weight after my third pregnancy. I know from all the mums I chat to and from my own experience that knowing how to lose after pregnancy weight is always a real issue because our bodies have gone through some incredible changes.
Now I accept that making plans to lose weight after giving birth may not be at the forefront of your mind. Especially the thought of doing exercise after pregnancy when you are feeling tired and just want to relax with your new baby. There does come a point in time though when you have to decide what action you will take to start your post pregnancy weight loss.
Where do you start though, the internet is full of sites offering titbits of advice on ways to lose weight after pregnancy. That was the situation I found myself in several months after my third pregnancy, when the time had come to find the best way to lose weight after pregnancy.
So over the coming weeks I will post My 'How to Lose After Pregnancy Weight' Story in the hope that you are compelled to read more and follow my example. I want you to feel amazing about your body again just like I do about mine.

Hi, I'm Beth from Wales. I'm a mum of 3 lovely children aged 7,6 and 1. As a busy mum I know how difficult it can be to find the motivation for losing weight after pregnancy, especially with so much to do and not enough time.
